I am coordinating the photo contest at the 28th International Herpetological Symposium (I.H.S.) during August 10-13, 2004 in Daytona Beach, Florida. This year’s event will be a milestone in rejoicing the fruits of our efforts, and bringing expanded recognition to herps as worthy photo subjects of those efforts. Toward that end, I’d like to call your attention to the event by asking you to look at the contest’s subsite at . The I.H.S. will take place the several days immediately prior to the 2004 Natinal Reptile Breeders' Expo, so the back-to-back combination of events assures a huge crowd to see the entires!
I am currently seeking sponsors and prizes, and researching a place to show off the winners (and possibly 2nd and 3rd runners-up) in print and / or online. I’d also welcome your ideas on that aspect as well, and of course, PLEASE spread the word to all friends and colleagues who may wish to participate.
