Here's a picture of one of my wife's D. leucomelas that we picked up at the Indy Show yesterday from Quality Captives. I can't wait until I have a front-opening tank made for them . . . then I can get some good side shots.

Homer that is a very nice looking frog. Nice and fat too. I just got 4 of these guys about a month ago and they have a great call. You will enjoy these frogs. I know I do. Enjoy........

They are absolutely great. They are much more active and bold than the Inferalanis Tincs I got at the same time, and they are eating machines! They really are in great shape, and I'm hoping that I really do have a male and a female . . . although I understand they can be a little tricky to get to breed.

You going to make your own tank or have it made?

I'm going to have it made by D&H Acrylic Designs. They have terrariums at the Indy Show, and can sell me the terrarium for about 10% more than what it would cost me to make one myself(maybe a little more for this one because it will be custom). Since they do a great job, I don't see any reason for me to try to do it myself . . . the little bit I would save just isn't worth it.

Sounds good Homer. I've been thinking about making some of my own, but for now I plan to just use some more tanks. The local stores have them so cheap it hard to use anything else.

Kyle - you will have to check out some of their cages. We are in the process of working with this company to get some terrariums constructed for 'dart frogs'. We are still in the prototype stage, and are looking for any and all comments.

We just got 2 tinc tanks, so we are hoping they are up to our expectations.

I think they did Columbus for the first time this month. We have been working on a couple of designs with front open doors. They are made from acrylic and can come predrilled for drains & a misting system.

I need to charge my digital camera and get some pics.

I'd like to see some pics.

I just got home from Petco and they have the Oceanic 30gal cubes on sale for $99 with light and lid. I really want one of those, but I did not get one. I might get one for some Tincs, but not now. For now I am going to get a second 15gal high, and then build a stand for 2.

One thing I do not like about a lot of front opening tanks is how much the hinges and etc block the view. I've seen a couple that were not too bad, but have seen some that are really bad. Now side opening is nice, but then you can not get as many side, by side.
