Well, today Merlin got to see the vet. It ends up Merlin isn't really a male, but a female =). The lump just behind her back leg, and above her tail IS actually her tailbone and not a parasite. Although she doesn't have any mites on her skin right now, it is a possibility that there might be eggs left from the adults that were killed.
She did have parasites in her feces, and is now on 2 different types of medication for it. One is for bacteria, and the other is for the parasites. The doc said, that she should be better after about 2-3weeks of treatment.
The only other thing found wrong with her is a fractured jaw. This type of injury comes from them banging their heads against the glass (probably happened in the pet-store). It can be remedied supposedly by lining the bottom of their house with cardboard. Obviously glass isn't part of their regular environment, so they don't really know if the reflection of themselves is them or another MHD. This injury will heal on its own, but if it develops into something worse, then she will need to be put to sleep and have her jaw wired up (hopefully it won't go that far).
Altogether, she was in good shape, and the vet actually commented that "she's a great looking specimen." I'm just glad I found a good vet, and especially a vet who is 'mobile' and only does exotic animals (e.g exotic birds, large cats, and reptiles).
Total vet bill = 100$, 65$ for exam, 12$/each prescription, 10$ for fecal exam. I paid a little bit more for Dr. Driggers because he is mobile, and I figured it would be better for my MHD. To much stress for her in one week to have to be transported around so much.
