Okay, I gave my mother in-law a gecko some time back. She told me that my Wife's sister wanted on too, so I printed up a coupon for a free gecko for her Christmas present this year. Her husband, the brainy one, asked when I would have new hatchlings. I told him that they would probably start coming in the spring and then I usually keep them for 3 weeks for them to start eating. He then asked me "So it will be done nursing by then?"

It is amazing what people think about reptiles. I have this cute vision now of a mommy gecko surrounded by hungry little babies! I was at work about a month ago and the topic of snakes came up. One guy got all puffed up, about to spout his advanced knowledge on the subject. I about died when I heard what he said. Ready? Snakes poop through their skin. Yup. Through the skin alright. I didn't even know what to say to that. And when I told him I kept snakes, and they most certainly did NOT poop through their skin, he had the gall to argue the fact with me! Non reptile folk are a funny breed, aren't they?
