is this stripe worth holding on to?

bigdnutz Dec 30, 2003 12:20 AM

My brother has had this python as a pet for about four years now. I never have really looked at it but noticed it has a stripe about 5 inches long right behind it's head and another long stripe on it's tail. There are other short connected patterns along it's body. Is this normal?
Thanks

Well I can not see the pic, but from the description it sounds like a pretty normal Ball Python. Most Ball Pythons will have a small stripe down by the tail, and a 5 inch stripe on the neck is fairly common too. Now this does not mean it is useless, you can always use another normal, especially a female. Just my two cents,
Jason

It could be worth holding on to if it's a female. I don't think it will prove genetic though. Even most fully striped ball pythons don't prove to be genetic, but you never know. Post a pic (I can't see your pic) and we'll see it.
