I have just received my first rescue. It is a Burmese, abot 3-4 months old. A friend of mine called me and said that his roommates snake was covered in 'bugs'. I went over and checked her out. She was literally covered in mites. I rinsed her off in warm water, got rid of the Aspen bedding she was on and replaced it with newspaper. I sprayed the tank with provent a mite and went home. When I returned the following day the snake was again covered in mites. I went ahead and took the snake to my house and got her out of the tank she was in. I washer her for about 3 hours in warm water, trying to get her rehydrated. I took a majority of the mites off of her and sprayed the new tank down with provent a mite. She stayed in the tank for a couple of days and then I decided to feed her. She took f/t with no problem. Keep in mind she is about 3-4 months old, but she ate a rat pup and that put a significant lump in her. She is still only about 18" long and has no girth to speak of. She is doing much better and also has a respitory infection. When I was bathing her I pulled a piece of aspen out of her mouth that must have been about 3/4" long and about as thick as the stick on a Qtip. She is doing much better now, but is as mean as a SOB. Probably one of the meanest snakes that I have ever encountered. I will be posting the events that benefit her, and will hopefully be posting pictures of her progress.

Brian Smith, I know you will read this. I know that alot of BS is being posted about you, I am not worried about it. People make mistakes, whether they be true or not, I don't know, and I don't care. Best of luck to you. You have helped me out alot and have given me some good advice. Thanks a million.

For those of you who have been posting negative things about him. Please get a life. Is your life so pathetic that you have to put someone else down? Are you that bored? Maybe you all should just forget about it. The past is the past, let it go. Can't we all be adults. Do you not have anything better to do with your time.
