Is $15 for a normal corn..

Tigergenesis Dec 30, 2003 10:56 AM

an average price for CB (at a reptile show)? I'm not familiar with corns and didn't know if that was too good to be true or average? I know that wild caughts are usually cheap, but figured corns were bred so much that wild caught might not be too much of an issue/possibility?

Thanks for any enlightment anyone can offer.

I find normals around here (Denver, Colorado) from anywhere in the range of $15 to $40 depending on the pattern and coloration. I got my normal for $20 and I think she/he is stunning and getting better every minute.

I say if you can pick up a good healthy normal for $15, go for it. Just make sure it eats good so you don't take home a problem feeder or worse, a non feeder.

Good luck

Here in Ohio, you can get a normal corn at a reptile show for
$15 ... I actually picked up a pair of okeetee on Saturday for $15 each...and they were good-sized for '03 hatchlings. Both of them ate this morning (yay!)
One suggestion: If the $15 ones look tiny and scrawny, and you have to pay 5 or 10 more for one with a little weight/growth...go for the one which has obviously had a few meals under its belt. Good luck! Duffy

For a normal corn around here (Richmond Virginia area), $15 is pretty average. I've seen them offered as low as $10 each and as high as $25 each, but $15-$20 is the general range at shows here. Of course, you'd spend much more if you went to a local pet store, easily $40 and up there.
