Question about Gentle Touch Bedding??????

latin1956 Dec 30, 2003 11:02 AM

I have been reading about Gentle Touch. I used to breed my own mice but the smell is just to strong no matter how often the cages get cleaned. I want to breed mice and rats just a few colonies for my Hondurans, and I will have to do it inside the house. But I don't want to deal with the smell. According to the info on the product is says that the odors are virtually eliminated. I would like to hear from all of you fellow breeders if you used the product and how good is it.

Thank you in advance
Tom

I don't know from Gentle Touch but I use rabbit pellets (alfalfa- like what you would feed a rabbit) it is $8 for 50 and a 1/2inch layer is great. In fact for mice I just put a fistful in each corner of the cage and bed the rest in shavings. I tried cheaper pelleted horse feed but it seemed to ferment too fast.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with the software.
