80g female, 70g female and 45g male????

jack7777766 Dec 30, 2003 01:48 PM

Could I breed the male to those females?
The male is the youngest at 8 months old, I want to putthem together in about mid january, will he do the job???
Or will the bigger females not let him???

Thanks
Jack

In most cases, you shouldn't put these sizes together. But if you have a male that can show he means bizz and get the girls to respect him, he can breed with them.

Normaly the male shoud be bigger. You should put them together and see what happens after about 30 minuts and if the females don't bit at him then they'll be fine.

One thing you should think about is if he will eat or get food at all. And make sure he doesn't get to stressed around the big moma's

other people will have other opinions. Just put them together and watch to see what happens then tell us.

while 45 grams means his body is mature to mate.. the big girls may push him around.. and once a male gets into breeding mode they tend to cut back eating. if by january or feb he is a tad bigger at 50 or 55 grams he will prolly be better suited. however if they dont try and bully him and he starts tail rattling its a good sign.. so its sorta 50/50

just make sure he doesnt get so thin ya cant bring him back so to speak

do you mean the same thing as when they stalk prey???
Is that a good sign?? I thought at least when you take them out to handle if they move their tails sideways slowly it means they are scared.

Im only going to put him in with one female at a time also, I still have a little while to think about it too, well see how it goes.

Thanks for the input
