how can i tell if my leo is impacted? i'm kind of worried. i haven't seen him licking the sand or anything but the last few days he hasn't been eating anything.. and that worried about that. he doesn't even come out of his hide in the day anymore until i pick him out of it and put him on my lap.

i'm taking the sand out of the tank tonight, but is there anything i can look for to make sure?

your help is appreciated ahead of time. thanks

I'd say that it's more likely he's just slowing down a little for the winter. If it doesn't look like he's losing weight, don't worry about his lack of appetite. If he wants to sleep in his hide, let him sleep. Taking him off sand is a good idea though since it'll be one less thing to worry about.

It's good that you keep alert about the slightest changes in his behavior though. It takes some people forever before they realize something's wrong with their leo.

3.2.3 leopard geckos (Rosie, Locke, Lisa, Caesar, Tommy)

Calming down isn't an option. I think he may have ingested some sand because there is small traces in his poop. However I took him off it lastnight, and I notice this morning that the four crix I put in are now missing and he has pooped once already, more than he's done in three days. So I'm hopeing he will be ok.
