I was wondering if there is a way to see if my Savannah Monitor is a male or female? I dont really want to go with the really complicated ones, i'm really afraid of harming him/her. If there is a easy way I would really like to know!! Thanks!!

heres how I found out mine was a male.one day he was just done taking a huge dump and as soon as he got out of the water dish My step dad said holy S**t I came in and we looked at the lizard adn his penis was hanging out.my step dad thought he was pooping out his guts at first.i asked a guy at the retile show recently and he said it was quite normal.so every one in awhile when he poops this happens.aparently its a easy way to tell.hope thsi helps and you can find out

That's pretty hilarious....but am i supposed to just sit around waiting for it to take a dump and hope it's penis sticks out! I was kinda hoping there was some way to look at it or something. But i will keep an eye out for it to get a little chubby! thanks a lot

They actually have two penises. The problem with this method is that females have structures that look really really similar. I've seen pics and they could easily be confused.
I don't actually have any other advice, I'm kind of confused about the whole thing myself. Good luck!
