I'm not sure where he acquired those but I do know of hybrids that originated in So. Cal. From what I was told and it was a very reliable source, they originated at visions. I later saw them being offered by an ex employee of visions just after they sold off all their snakes. This was about 4-5 years ago. The albino pueblans were created by breeding in the albino gene from a nelsoni. Selective breeding after the first cross cleaned up the patterns so the look was pure pueblan. This didn't take very long since pueblans can usually be bred after their second cooling at 16-18 months old.

I had the opportunity to buy in on that project back then as well as some other hybrids that came out of their collection. I passed, no hybrids for me, even when they are honestly represented with full disclosure of their mixed origin.

I would like to hear back from you and hear what the seller has to say about those albino pueblans. I'm betting they are from the group I mentioned or that there is incomplete history of their origin.

Of course there are the albino ruthveni x campbelli which can look alot like campbelli.

A year ago I think, someone on the forum here posted pics of an albino Pueblan that hatched from a clutch of "normal-looking" Pueblans, according to him. The baby looked like campbelli alright. Still, nobody knows if his adults carried the gene as a result of nelsoni or ruthveni breeding back in their past. Classic example of how the hybrids/crosses make it questionable when an albino hatches out of what seem to be pure parents. Oh well, like I said, the baby albino looks and acts like campbelli.

Interesting that you mention ruthveni. The breeder that produced the albino pueblan from the nelsoni albino gene also crossed ruthveni and graybands as well as ruthveni and thayeri.
