Breeding and brumating

beardiedragon Dec 31, 2003 10:45 AM

Has anyone noticed a difference in breeding patterns for those dragons that do and don't brumate?

If my Beardies have not brumated this year, is it to early to put the males and females together?

I can not say from experience because I have never tried, however in snakes it can greatly reduce the productivity in response and sperm count, etc.

So, I was of no help there but here is a new pic of your guy! I was getting the pic of my holdback girl like Boastuds so I snapped one of your guy.
Here he is.

Later.

I do snakes too and improper cycling does wonders in messing up both males and females. Males sperm production will be low and females will not ovulate at the right time.

None of my Beardies are brumating this year. They eat less and are somewhat less active but thats about it. I tried reducing the light to no avail.

Thanks for the pic, he is a handsome devil. he will probably be named BB
