27-30C is the range, I say split the difference at 28C and expect around 120 days to hatch (range is 93-186). You can reference Daniel Bennett's book on Monitor Lizards. The eggs are roughly 2-2.5 times as large as a bearded dragon egg for your reference. I would use either perlite or vermiculite with equal weight with water or slightly less to start.

The picture is of a large female roughly 7yrs old and a small male who is actually diving underneath her to align cloacas. It was very funny to watch, he is really trying. After several years of her dropping eggs, I finally decided to give her a little fun.
