Hi all, haven't posted here in ages. I've got new pics of Zeek on the way but in the mean time i have a concern.
Every once in a while Zeek retreats to the bottom of his tank, turns an icky tan/grey colour and refuses to move from that spot (sometimes under the papertowels, right in the corner of the tank, or curled up in one of his bowls). Its like he's sulking or depressed...
Temps are good, he's eating the CGD daily and has a water bowl but gets misted twice a day too.
I'm starting to get concerned because its happening more often. He won't come out to eat when he's like this until the next day.
A little while ago after i checked on him he came up from the bottom to one of his vines and became rusty red again. I've never seen him that tan colour while he's at the top of the tank in the plants...only when he's at the bottom. He really looks sickly when he's like that too.
I'm probably just freaking out for nothing. Could the colour change be due to temperature variation in the tank, mood etc?
Thanks for your opinions,
Red
