I use bravenet it has discreet banner ads at the top of each page, lots of features like guestbook, chat, tell a friend, etc. It's free although you can upgrade to a paysite if your web pages warrant it. It's easy to upload and create webpages. No WYSIWIG editor but a real HTML editor. If you use an editor on your PC and want to upload from your puter files it's a matter of cut and paste. I can't say enough good about them. They're way superior to anything like Lycos, Yahoo and the like.

The money I pay to kingsnake.com to host my six web sites is actually cheaper than free. Sure I write out a small check every year but what I get back from kingsnake.com is the best service I get from any company I have ever dealt with. The highest traffic web site which sends thousands to my web sites as it will yours. You can have your web site somewhere that is literally free but you need to remember, sometimes you get what you pay for. I would pay kingsnake.com twice what they charge me happily if they asked for it. kingsnake.com is just that good and important. My two cents worth.

I've been using them for a while. Good hosting. 5 gigs of bandwidth and 400 megs storage for $5 a month.
