Howdy,
If any herper from Mass is reading this please realize that our laws are obsolete. Look in a MA Petshop you wont find monitors, chameleons,GTPs or ETB but youi will find a flurry of Green Iguanas, Farmed Burmese Pythons, Sulcattas, Redfoot and Leopard Tortosies jammed in 40 gal breeder tanks. Heck youll even find some stores selling ornamental tarantulas and bird eating spiders. But you cant own a Ackie Monitor but, you can posses and Indian Ornamental Spider that has put people in the hospital including myself. You can own a farmed Burmese Python but, you cant own a CB Reticulated Python. You can own a Sulcatta which when adult size can undermine the foundation of a house but, you cant own a Jackson Chameleon. I cant understand these laws. Some changes need to be made. To my understanding these laws were drawn up inpart with the Mass Herp Society. If these seems unfair to you respond with your own opinion Im sure if there is enough people to cause a fuss we can finally get a few changes made.
P.S. Email me if you have any petstore horror stories by your local pet shop Im compiling a little list
Thanks
PS sorry for spelling I was ticked
