Bearded question

Hi,

I bought my first beardie (Ozzy) in August. He's a high-yellow, salmon cross. He's such a beauty, with golden back, with hte pinkish spots that the salmons get. When I bought him he was 5 inches, now hes 16 1/2. He's a great eater, never refusing a meal. (I'll post pics when my scanner is fixed. My question is, I always take him out after lunch which for me is usually around 1 o'clock. Usually after I take him out and put him on my shoulder, I'll come downstairs and start talking to people in the chat, and posting on the forums. Ten minutes passes by, and Ozzy always takes a nap on me. Is that normal for them to take a nap during the day? because he's done this for a while. Just 10 minutes on my shoulder or chest, and he naps.

thanks from Dan (monocledcobra)

Well, my beardies are a bit more sluggish this time of year because of brumation. If this behavior is something he's been doing since the temps have started dropping then it could be that he's just a bit lazier this time of year and trying to brumate. I don't know, that's just my guess. The only times my beardies sleep on me (eyes closed) is when I'm watching TV at night and it's fairly dark in the room or when they are brumating. Good luck with Ozzy! He sounds like he's become a very close and loved beardie.
