Some questions about WC amazons

herpin1579 Dec 31, 2003 02:00 PM

I just ordered a trio of WC amazons. They are my first amazons but not my first snakes. They however are my first arboreal species. I mostly work with colubrid species. I was wondering if anyone here has used parazap. What are some basic procedures for acclimating these guys. They are feeding on adult mice but thats about all I know. Just so nobody freaks out, they were really cheap.

How did you plan on housing them?

I have three 10gal tanks set up on their sides for more vertical space. Each tank has three 1in pvc perches and lots of fake plants. Around the tanks I put green paper so that the snakes dont see any activity in the room. All have been setup for a few days at 82degrees. The humidity stays around 65% and higher after mistings. Paper towels are used for substrate and each tank has a large water dish.
