jenni270986 Dec 31, 2003 02:08 PM

lenn at the moment hasn't done a proper poop for about 5 days, she just poops out the water and white/calcium stuff.
she eats a locust/hopper every day (only the one) but i didn't feed her tonite.

is she ok, impacted?

sounds like she is starvbing.. and only peeing out any unused liquids. you bug a day? shoot my hatchlings start off on two or three crickets depending on size... she isnt pooping because she isnt being fed enough

starving are you mad? she is the size of a house! she only eats 1 locust a night at the moment because she is in cooling period.
two nights ago she had 2 locusts and 8 crickets. She doesn't like mealworms so she doesn't get them, my other leo skye eats 10 of them a night and tonight she had 6 crickets and a locust and shes not fully grown yet!
if she was starving i don't think she'd look like this!

Hey

First off I couldnt see the pic secondly all you said was she ate one locust a night which would be starving and dont ask for help when people like me may give u possible salutions you may not be willing to accept and if you were such a gienus then you would no when a geckos in cooling and shows signs of illnes you should heat it back up. Theres no point in asking then telling the best there idoits however this is my thoughts on the matter you can post again saying something smart but im not gonna reply to anymore of your post

Peace

i only realised that i didn't put down bout the crix till after i posted, and it just caught a nerve when you said she might be starving after what i saw at work today.
I work in a pet stroe and someone brought in a leo they had had off a friend. to be honest i dont know how it survived to adult hood because they had been keepin it in a shoe box (a cardboard one) by a radiator for heat and it was so skinny you could see its ribs and pelvis, it almost made me cry.
shes not showin signs of illness, just not havin a proper poop! its only been a few days so she's probly fine, just wanted to make sure.... (she hasn't eaten sand either i have a web cam on her and checked all the footage!)
Sorry again
but i hope you can see why i got angry

heres a pic of lenn (very fat!)

I'd have to say unusual stool is a sign of illness...

jenni270986 Dec 31, 2003 04:59 PM

i don't wanna seem like im tellin you guys that what your sayin is all wrong, cuz you all know more than me!
the only thing is i know my leo like the back of my hand and shes not ill or anything just hasn't pooped for a couple of days. and im really sorry to greatgobsofgeckos its hard to put emotions down on a pc, what im saying might seem different to you than what i mean. i only got a little angry after someone said i was starvin my leo after i had seen a that poor thing those horrible people brought into the shop.

explain the situation correctly and completely, nothing bout anything else but one locust, urates and thats about it... no cooling, no crickets, no adult no info on her weight or normal feeding habbits.. and NO PIC
what kinda answer do you expect if you say your gecko isnt pooping and it only eats one locust a day????
kinda vaigue(sp?) dontcha think?

Only one is not enough food for her. Try at least 4 she is probably starving. If she will not eat more than one take her to a vet.

Judging by the picture, your gecko looks fine. I do recommend that you go ahead and bring her out of cooling if you are worried. How cool are her temps right now?

Ah only at 80? That's not too much of a cooling. Well, offering warm spot of 90 degrees should definitely increase her appetite if she is healthy to begin with.

Your welcome BTW.
