Salvador and Dali gave me 30 eggs for Christmas. Is it seasonal?

Anson Dec 31, 2003 02:18 PM

My Nosey Be pair laid a clutch of 30 eggs on the 23rd of December. It seems like there were 4 or 5 more forum members that got eggs from their females on the same day. How many were Nosey Be owners? I wonder if chams tend to be seasonal and if they all tend to lay eggs at around the same time of year.
I know they can lay eggs year round but does it usually occur in the same months each year?
Have any other panther owners noticed eggs produced in certain months more than others or was it a coincidence.

I got a clutch of 30 Nosy Be eggs on December 30th. I don't consider them seasonal, since I've had Nosy Be's laying eggs almost every month in the past year. If you were to change your temperatures enough to mimick the seasons and did the whole light/photoperiod thing, I could see it making a difference, but as my temperatures change slightly season to season, I haven't noticed any difference at any time. The males are always ready to go and the females lay at the normal times after mating.
