Green Burm

I have a green burm that is about 5 months old and i feed her f/t jumbo mice and sometimes she will kust follow the mouse when i try to feed her and wont eat it then the next week she will eat it no problem.Does anyone else have the same problem or solutions?? Steve

I'd bet that she would prefer to eat live and she just follows your f/t around (i am assuming you are using tongs, f/t don't get around too well) until she realizes that it's not really alive. Whwn you try again the next week, she is probably a little more hungry and cares a little less that the prey is not alive. Have you tried warming the f/t mouse up a little warmer than room temp? Snakes hunt by movement, scent AND heat. They will sometimes jump on a warmed meal when they won't a room temp meal.
