I met one at a pet shop today. It was the first bird that seemed to like me.... Usually birds just try to bite me... I've always wanted a bird and I was wondering if Sun Conures are a good beginner Bird (seeing as how I've never even had a budgie before..)... What's the avaerage price for one? Can someone reccomend a good site to learn about them?? Thanks!!!

I don't have one but.....I always said if i got a bird, it would be a Sun Conure. Waaaay back in 1994 when I lived out in San Diego, a friend owned a pet store that I used to hang out in a lot. There was a Sun Conure there that was the sweetest little bird. As soon as I would come into the store, it would start to scream (they are LOUD) until I took it out of its cage. It would then hang out on my shoulder until I left. He has the greatest little personality. Back then they sold for about $900 for one that was CB and hand tamed as a baby. I have no idea how much they cost now.

I have had one we raised from a hatchling. Wonderful little birds and if he/she has taken a likening to you chance are he/she will be a life long friend that will surely please you.
