I'm going to be giving a herp presentation in Las Vagas tomorrow at the Southern Nevada Herp Society meeting on what I thought was my trip to Costa Rica and have just now (while checking the spelling of the herp society on their web page) found out is Herping in the NJ Pine Barrens (Hello?) That's what happens when you got too much stuff going on. Either way, if any of you are in the LV area and are not doing anything you might enjoy checking it out. I always get a big kick out of meeting the folks off the net which is why I do this.
I'm also giving some presentations to a few of the CTTC chapters next month. One is at the Orange County chapter's February meeting and another is at the Valley chapter the Friday after.
The presentations I give are what I call 'Pop Presentations'. They are basically personal experiences in husbandry and things of that nature. I've also got some travel logs that I've put together for general herp societies. I've done this enough times to realize that these groups are really desperate for speakers or they might really enjoy the presentations because I do get asked back. (I kinda think it's a little of both)
Like I said, I really like meeting the people that I've 'met' on the internet and through other correspondence.
