thermostat control

Looking to buy more thermostats for some new cages but have a few questions. I know the digital proportional units control the temp within a degree or so but cost $100 or more. I was wondering what kind of temperatur differential (right word?) analog thermostats (BAH-1000, Alife, ZooMed, ESU, etc) might have. Lets say its set for 85 F. How cool will it drop before the heat source is turned back on?
