feeding question myth or fact

i heard that feeding your lizard live prey such as mice rats and chicks can make your lizard more aggressive because they need to attack it and kill it and stuff i was just wondering if this was true

i have heard the same thing. i have a two year old red that always eats f/t mice and is a raging redheaded mean*ss. not sure if there is much truth to it. depends on the lizard's individuality.

I think this is a myth as a whole but some individual animals are just going to be aggressive regardless of what you do!

I think the most important reason to try and always feed prekilled is for the safety of your animal. I had one snake bit by a mouse 6 years ago when I was a newbie to reptiles and that was enough to convince me!! Now my Water Dragon still eats live but as he is just eating pinkies I am not worried about his safety. That and he won't eat them if they are dead!
