When I got my corn they said it was a male...they being a friend of my cousin. I don't know if this guy knows his stuff or if he's just some random. I keep seeing posts about odd behavior being linked to the time of year. I am not comfortable doing much to figur the sex. Is there anyway to get an idea of the sex for a 'beginner'? THanks in advance!

Post a picture of the tail... then we'll all guess and you'll have a guess alone for the gender. If we're wrong and you put "HIM" with another male, you'll have eggs.

Adult snake tails tend to be fairly obvious for gender, at least to my eyes. I haven't been wrong yet! (so that means that the eight or nine times I've guessed based on tail shape I've been right).

Female's tails taper immediately from the vent, while a male's tail stays thick for a bit (and sometimes even bulgest out a little) before tapering.
