Feeding sprouts

ekpunobi Jan 01, 2004 04:51 PM

Does anyone feed sprouts to their beardies? I grow my own on occasion and give some to all of my omnivores. I've assumed they are safe and good for them. I just recently sprouted a great mix of lentils, adzukis and peas. Would any sprouts be a no-no?

If you like to eat sprouts yourself you should try out sproutpeople.com They have some really great seed mixes, all organic. I got their sample kit with 20 different seed mixes. I haven't tried them all yet, but the ones I've tried so far are great!! I will be giving some to the beardies tomorrow. My uromastyx, baby box turtles, sugar gliders and cockatiels all love them! I'm sure Trip and Sprint will love them, too!!

It's really fun to sprout the seeds yourself, and really cheap, too. My next project will be corn sprouts. I've heard they are wonderful, so all of the lizards should love them, too.
