a2zgraphix Jan 01, 2004 06:14 PM

I was watering my geckos this morning when to my total suprise I spotted a freshly laid egg in my AFT's cage. I set up the incubator and have since moved the egg into it, now just wait and watch. I am so excited its the first egg from my AFT's!! Well Happy New Year all and I hope this is signs of more to come!!!

I was thinking about getting some AFT's soon.

How hard are they to take care of? I know that there is a difference between Leo's, but I couldn't find a very good caresheet.

Thanks for any help/advice

I have found caring for my FAT's almost the same as my Leo's but with a few differences. My AFT's like a little more humidity and they really only like to eat crickets where my Leo's will eat just about anything " crickets, wax, super and mealworms". Its fun to watch my AFT's stalk the crickets, rattle their tails, then strike!! Well hope this little helps I really do love my AFT's they seem just a bit more relaxed when being handled also...

Do you know of any caresheets that you have used that seem helpful? This is when I wish there was an AFT forum, lol.

They can lay single or double egg clutches. Singles are common for first timers.

I searched the cage and found nothing else so I kept a close eye on her all day 1/1/04 and nothing more however when I awoke this morning 1/2/04 there was another egg!! I have moved it to the incubator as well. Man 04 is starting off with a bang an egg a day, LOL!!!
