Provent-A-Mite

FatAl Jan 01, 2004 07:19 PM

I am having a bit of a bug problem in my indoor enclosure for my baby box. I dont know if they are mites or not but they are almost microscopic and slightly transparent bugs. I have tried drying out the substrate, i used bed-a-beast, repti-bark and spaghnum moss, but the bugs are still there.

I have been reading up on this Provent-a-Mite stuff, but most of the info is related to snakes. I was just wondering if anyone has used this product on their turtle enclosure and if it is safe to use it with turtles.

I was wondering how harmful these bugs are to the turtles. I always see them crawling on my turtles and it really annoys me and im sure it annoys them.

I'm told it was developed for tortoises, but I have no experience in this regard.
