Basking temp question

I have an adult male Mississippi Mud turtle. I have created a dry land area for him with a basking lamp. What temp do I need to keep the basking area? I keep my Cooter tank basking area at 85 degrees. Is this the temp I need for my Mud turtle too?
ps...Thank goodness I found this forum! This is the only place I have found info on Mud turtles.
