Any Riverside, Ca Herpers?

Joe R. Jan 01, 2004 11:38 PM

My company transfered me to our Riverside office last week. We're moving to Moreno Valley as soon as escrow closes. Eimon and Jason were kind enough to teach me the Imperial Valley, Now I need to learn the Inland Empire. If anyone who knows their way around up there wants some herping company when it warms up, let me know.

Dude, there's no herpers up there because there's no herps!....LOL. What are you thinking?, besides not driving a couple of hundred miles each day. There is some Fundad guy that says he's seen alot close to there, but I think he just looks at pictures from books.....hehehehe. Actually, you will be in a good triangle for some things, and not far from others. We'll be happy to come up and give you a tour around there too!

You live in herp paridise. Not only is Riverside the dirt road and trash capital it also is home to more rock outcropings than you can count. While I don't take locals to spots I have to drive 80 miles too. I well give you some hints... Find a dirt road (there are lots) and look for trash and boards.. There will be plenty... Start looking under the trash.. And you will soon rack up lots of herps... There is a lot of BLM land out that way.. You will do better after we get more rain and come March-April... Than in May-June you can road cruise those same roads right at sunset until 1 hour after dark or until it dips under 65 which ever is last..... Hope this helps... Won't be long before you have more places to go than you can count.... Than we will be asking you where to go... LOL

Hmmm. Dirt road and trash. Sounds like a good name for a hillbilly band. Thanks.

Yep,
In acouple of months you can basicaly look for a rocky hill and find herps. When it's hot try road cruising at night.
It will prevail.
How's it going Fundad.
