Looking for some opinions. Im looking to start breeding balls this year. I have a chance to either start of small and purchase a couple of hets for albino or go big and get some 100% hets piebald. So wich one do you think i should start out with? just curious for individual opinions?

and a het female. When thay are of breeding size you will produce albino and het albino.And you can sell and keep enough for a breeding colony. The value of albinos will always be there. The large breeders albinos are sold before they are hatched.
Then while making money you could think about getting the het Pieds. Just my thought on that.

i agree with Vtherpster, pied hets are around 3k a piece. I would just get 2 albinos (2500-2800$) and breed to get all albinos. They sell like hot cakes right now and will in the years to come. Then, if you can get your hands on one, a Spider. Then breed that to an albino you produce. You could get lucky and hatch out a Albino Spider, and get the big bucks.

Thanx this is exactly why I asked the question i was really torn I love the look of the pieds but also love the albinos. Along with the selling factor i also felt maybe it was easier to start out selling something less expensive like the albinos and then move up to the pieds when i have been more established.

try to find a local breeder that will sell you a female het albino and a female het pied and let you breed to his male albino and piebalds in exchange for half the babies
