I did used to keep C. l. klauberi, and I do have pictures posted on the venomousreptiles.org website, but there's an even better chance it's the other Chris Harper who is webmaster for that site.
I know it sounds hard to believe, but there are two Chris Harper's who are into venomous snakes.
The two of us get confused all the time.
I no longer keep venomous. I had a nice collection up until about a year ago but then had my local laws change. The grant money for my research job had just ran out and I knew I wanted to move away so I sold the entire collection to a good friend at a cheap price. I did that so I'd have a chance to get some of the offspring back from the same animals in my circumstances ever changed.
Regarding where do I live, I'm currently homeless, believe it or not. It's a very long story, but I'll just say that I lost my place and belongings during a flood on labor day. I did get a chunk of money from FEMA but decided to live with family and friends for a while until the economy improved enough to the point that biotech firms started hiring again. In the last several months I've been on the move a lot.
I hope to settle in the Denver, Colorado area once the dust settles from what's been a very difficult year. That will rule out my keeping venomous again, but I actually feel like life is easier without having a bunch of dangerous animals in my home.
