Karu Jun 04, 2003 01:59 PM

This is my uro compared to a male and female taken off the Deer Fern Farms website. I hope he doesn't mind. But anyways, what would you guys say? I am saying my uro is a female.

It looks to me like a female from the deer farms pics but some other pics would be helpful.

I think it's a male. The geryi I have had show a marked difference in color between the males and females. You may have to wait until they are basking to tell, but if they color up brightly when hot/basking it's probably a male.

you should really look to see if your uro has the male "parts" or not. i wish i had my scanner set up, because i could show you a pic of my male. He has two bumps near the base of his tail, indicating a male . you can also look at the belly, a male will be brighter and more waxy looking than a female who would be a bit duller and less bright. my male doesnt have alot of stripes on his belly so the stripes dont matter in indication of a male female. from the color, i think it might be a male just because he or she looks pretty bright.
