aft not eating

alieliza Jan 02, 2004 11:42 AM

my aft seems to not be eating as much. we recently moved from one place to another so i figure this could have something to do with it. I also know that they tend to eat less during the winter months. I just worry because his eating has decreased. I also recently cleaned out his tank and found numerous escaped mealies. Just wanted to make sure that this is normal. Oh... and he is pooping.

yes. the meal worms are in a dish. He has eaten readily out of it for months until recently.

If he’s pooping he’s eating. I wouldn’t worry about it as long as he’s healthy and heat, caging etc are all correct. This time of year they do slow down on eating. All of my fat-tail have slowed down. Just keep doing what your doing and it will be spring before you know it.
