51 ft. Ball Python hatched at Pro Exotics!

robyn@ProExotics Jan 02, 2004 12:05 PM

yes indeed, we have hatched a 51 foot Ball Python here at PE from one of our 2003 clutches.

it is an EXTREMELY impressive snake, it eats 16 cats per week, along with a couple of manatees when available.

we have had to get super custom caging from Vision to fit such a monster, and we went ahead and ordered a whole wall of these new giant cages, as we are expecting this to be a dominant trait, and we will now start breeding for this regularly.

51 ft at HATCHING, can you even imagine what it will be like as an adult?!?!?!

unfortunately, you cannot combine this animal with other "morphs" because its genes are too big for theirs to fit properly, so it will just have to remain the normal "BIG" morph.

take that RDR, NERD, and SNAKEKEEPER!!

muhu-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

(photos forthcoming, we also have to get a really big camera)
(and of course it is true, and should make for some great International press!)

Hey folks. Did you notice something. They never mentioned VPI. They hatched 5 of these in 2001. But their babies were 71 foot. And are breeding it to pastels, spiders, etc. yep and I have the photos to prove it. wink wink I also have a deposit for one in 2007. They lay over 60 eggs. What a money machine!

So where are the photos?

BallBoutique Jan 02, 2004 03:17 PM

I would post picture but I was told not too. You see unlike other folks I will NEVER post some ones property if they say to me you can't.
Like my spider pictures I asked if I could use them and the person said yes. I have seen my photos on other site and never gave them permission to use them. At least they could give me proper credit for my camera work.
No wonder the Snake Keepers protect their pictures. They must spend hours of work to capture the animals beauty.
Who knows you may never see the photos of "the big one". Be patient. LOL

I have a picture of a Giant Cornticulated snake.
It is not my picture. I have had it so long I do
not remember who to give the credit to.

Thought you all might enjoy it though...
