like Romaine and turnip greens. I have 2 Painted turtles and
yes they are very friendly. They will follow me around in
their tank and even crawl onto my hand if I place it in the
water.

They can be basking and I will be cleaning them and they never
budge. They look at me like "Oh, you again?"

Good set up.
i'd ditch the goldfish try to get whole frozen fish instead or use mollie/platies or bait store minnows.
Go with the darker greens, carrot tops, dandelion (leaves flowers stems) and try also earth worms and superworms.

Do you have UVB light or a calcium with D3 supplement?

I agree with the other posters...I'm glad to hear you have a nice big tank! My 5-6 inch (shell length) midland painted turtle lives in a 40 gallon with a fluval 3 filter! She is addicted to protein and only eats her water plants when she is bored. She will not eat any sort of leafy green other than an occasional bite of her aquatic plants! Her main diet consists of earthworms, mealworms, crickets, snails, and a very occasional guppy (she lives with 3 male feeder guppies, and 2 rosy red minnows....she doesn't even chase them any more lol...I'm begining to think they have forged a friendship of sorts ). She is offered live food 3 times a week, and pellets once a week (reptomin). She has a cuttlebone that she'll nibble on every once in a while. She eats about 2 small worms, 2-3 mealworms, and either a medium cricket or 3-4 pellets in one sitting lol...she is a piggy!

Hi All, I have 7 painted hatchlings. I watched the mommy come up in my yard to lay them, and got them when they hatched. I have spent so much money on them. I told everyone that I was just going to keep them for a couple of days until i thought I could let them go,,,that was 5 months ago and $7 or $800.00 dollars to this point. I had alot of researching to do. So I could learn what I was sapose to do. Right now I have them in a 75 gallon tank. Of course when they get bigger , I will get a much larger tank. But they have everything they are sapose to have. Great food, lighting, and filtration. I have a magnum 350 pro and a wisper filter. The foods they eat are...turtle pellets, they love spinach, freeze dryed shrimp, crickets plus other live bugs when I can get them . Plus I have all kinds of fish with them so they can hunt also, which they do. I have tetras, tiger barbs, guppies, mollies, platties , rosy reds, neons, glow lights, and a dozen or so algae eaters. My problem right now is that I have one sick one at this point. I have no idea of why. He isnt eating or thriving. He sleeps all the time now. Im really afraid im going to loose him, does anyone have any ideas of what I could do for him??Im totally clueless of why he would be sick. They have everything that they should have. Can someone help me. Please let me know
thanks so much
