Would it be OK to try and offer a little canned dog food every now and then, maybe every other week to him? Also, would he indeed eat it? Just trying to offer as much of a variety to him that I can. Thanks.

Yea, he will eat it usually. Don't offer a lot, because it high in fat and stuff. Maybe a dab or two the size of a mouse. What else are you feeding him? Try crickets, madagascar hissing cockroaches(babies), wax worms, headless mealworms, earthworms, etc.
