Gecko Wont Come Out of Exo-Terra Hide?

Johnstud56 Jan 02, 2004 02:55 PM

I have one of those that stick to the glass and she wont come out? Should I just leave a few crickets in the tank and let her eat them when she comes out when its dark? Thats what I did last night and this morning they were gone so I would say she ate them?

Giving her crickets before you go to bed would be good so she can hunt them while you sleep - but make sure you leave a piece of dry dog food in there [or something like that], so they nibble on the food, and not your gecko.
Make sure the crickets aren't hiding somewhere - if not, she definantly ate them. If she's new to you, she just needs some time to adjust, hence while only hunting/coming out at night.
Remember, leos are nocturnal, so during the day they are sleepy, lazy bums.
