juvie veiled needs help

withcerberus Jan 02, 2004 04:34 PM

Hi there everyone. I work at a pet store when i am home from school and I have noticed that one of the veiled chameleons we got in will not open his very often. He will stumble around the tank with surprising energy and bump into walls. We have been feeding them small crickets and i know that at least when I am there they get misted a lot. H will open his left eye for about a second every now and again and then close it. There is one other veiled in the tank with him. I feel terrible for the little bugger. Any thoughts on what i should do?

thanks,
Bobby

he probably has something foreign in it, give him a warm shower or use a q-tip with eye drops to clean around the eye

i took him to the vet at our store and she did try to wipe his eyes with a moistened q-tip. He held them shut tight for her though.
