are you sure it isn't just his colors? Luna gets dark along her sides sometimes when she's pissed of stressed. Just a thought...

I had looked at it but it is too hard to really see. I hope you didn't take that as thinking you don't know your cham's skin! It just is strange that it changes to green under lights. When do you get vet results?

Not sure where you live but if you have access to an aloe plant (grows in the south, can be bought in the north) tear open a leaf and rub the gel from inside on his skin. If it is a burn of some sort this will help - and if it is something else it won't hurt. It is great stuff and safe to use on him...

yes, i have aloe that grows on ym windowsill and have the manufactured kind --- alot of surfing...

i have used it to with no results before so i am taking a burn out of the possibility

when i turned on the hlal light to see him asleep i also noticed that the black coloring below the most prominant spot was pratically gone. i get the results on monday but he seems to be getting better (knock on wood).!

I hope he is improving but that you still find out what it is/was. If it's a fungus or other problem it would help to know what may have caused it. Hey, maybe the aloe DID help and that's why he's improving! wink, wink

p.s. the only good manufactured type is in gel form and says 99% aloe. I keep mine in the fridge - great for sunburns!
