I recently aquired a leopard gecko from petco that they were gonna kill because they found it under the water dish at not moving. I asked if i could take it and they agreed, as they were just gonna put it in the freezer anyway. I took it home and made it a nice habitat with many hide spots. He wasnt moving very much at first but ive had him for about 4 days now I saw him eat yesterday. He will be my 4th leopard gecko and i hope he has a happy home with me. I just thought i should share this with you guys.

Bless you on saving him! We have one at our Alsip with no light no heat pad or anything 
Hes only a juvi but they want $50 for him, I cant afford it.

Why would you buy an animal that a pet store isn't taking care of? Don't you realize that they'll just replace that animal with another that won't be taken care of either? I know your heart is in the right place, but can't you see that allowing pet stores to make a profit off of mistreated animals contributes to the problem?

I wish you the best luck keep him in quarintine just think of it like this some people would say what good diffrence does it make to that one when 100s more will die that death anyways my response it makes a diffrence to that one keep up the good work they should count that as a comunity service on your taxes haha!

Oh, I wasn't directing that at you. You did what I would probably do in that situation, if I thought that doing so wouldn't put any of my animals at home at risk. Sorry if it seemed like I was snapping at you. (:

I think it is very commendable that you adopted a leo that would otherwise killed. It’s cool that you have him eating already, which is very promising! Be ready for some sand logs, because petco loves to use sand. Best of luck with your new little one, and let us know how he/she progresses. Keep up the good work, and keep us posted!
