GECKO LAID EGGS THIS MORNING! HELP!

thegeckolady Jun 04, 2003 02:56 PM

HI EVERYONE,

MY GECKO LAID EGGS THIS MORNING AND I WENT TO GET THEM OUT THIS AFTERNOON, AND TO MY SURPRISE THE EGGS WERE NOT LAYING ON THIER SIDE. THE EGGS WERE STANDING UPRIGHT( THE WIDE PART ON BOTTON AND THE POINTED END UP) I TOOK THEN OUT AND LAYED THEM IN THE INCUBATOR BOX, IN THE SAME POSSITION BUT LAYING DOWN. DID ANYONE HAVE THIS HAPPEN? IS IT OK TO LAY THEM DOWN? ALSO I AM USEING ALBY'S MOTHOD TO INCUBATE, DID ANYONE HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS? IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SUCCESSFUL METHOD PLEASE LET ME KNOW. AS YOU CAN TELL I Am NEW TO THIS.

THANKS
JC

can't go wrong using Albeys method. Has gave me 100% results from every fertile egg this year. I myself think as long as you position an egg as soon as you find it they will be ok. I have had some that got jumbled around before I got them into the incubator and they were fine. I don't figure the embryo actually is attached and in a stuck spot with the air bubble for a couple of days Keep up the good work. Oh, also by the way useing all caps is considered yelling in the forums and some people consider it extremely rude for some reason??? just letting you know .
