The males are borderline at 160 cm. I'd say the females probably should be 175 cm or so before you try to breed them. Smaller females tend to become egg-bound.

Also, I don't think you should really hibernate them as you do other colubrids. Drymarchon are winter breeders. They should be breeding when other colubrids are hibernating or brumating.

Great minds....

I would not attempt breeding Drymarchon (especially couperi)
until the female is at least 172 cm - 180 cm, and at least 3.5 years old.

(5'6" to 6')

Female couperi lay very large eggs and you will be very likely to get an eggbound female if you breed them smaller than that.

I hope you are not really hibermnating them and just using a term to describe "cycling" them.

Indigos should be cooled at night in the winter (55 to 65 F)
then warmed during the day (low to mid 80's) every day.

If you have them in a true "hibernation" or brumation, you are going to lose them !!

Hi
I am just cooling them a little and they are still eating (not so much though)I just wasn`t sure of the maturity size and asked accordingly
Thank you all for your replyes. I have 2,2 unrelated couperi so within a few years, I hope to breed them as well as the rest of my animals
Best wishes
