Psych's body is mighty skinny and his ribs are showing, i dont know if this is normal for a young lizard??
yes,not unusual, My male weighed 14 grams on april 1,the day I brought him home.He's now 45 grams,2 mounths later! Now we can see hes doing well,colors coming in great,but when he gets in streched out mode,ribs still show.Do be carefull about houseflies and other yard bugs,insectacides carry over and can kill.clean sources are avalable for all kinds of food or raise your own.This is my first cham also,althougt i,ve experience with other herps.These guys are work!!!!!!!worth every bit of it,facsinating animals.
First of all, I don't like CRIX! Messy, smelly, can hurt your herp, on and on...
Secondly, silkworms and roaches are superior staple prey items, IMO. I highly suggest trying either/both of these.
As for other prey items, you can buy houseflies from a variety of sources. Might I suggest Skipio. It's a bird food site, but you can order fly pupae via phone.
Much cleaner and easier to order your prey items than to attempt to catch wild bugs. No telling what internal parasites and diseases your cham might catch!
