I need the link for cage size requirements for rats and mice of various sizes. I will be in need of that information. I have my rat set up now, but i need to get more enclosures, so i dont have the females breeding back to back.

That was a great website, and unfortunately, i seemed to missplaced the the link.

thanks.

this is a forum to help people, not a forum to fight. If you don't have any tangible knowledge to share with the group, stfu and read, don't post. You are helping noone and you are making yourself look extrodinarily petty.

As for the website, you can forget my request, I found anouth, very similar website that serves my needs quite nicely. From what I can tell, its the same information.

Have a nice day.

Cagespace

Thank you very much DeMak. That was exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the help. In designing my rack system, I am in need of the necessities of 1.3's and 1.2's. This will be used in considering the bare minimum floor area that I can get away with. I will no doubt go with more than the bare minimum.

Thanks again.

Truth,
Those are the minimums for keeping animals, not breeding. More space is required once pups start arriving. The more space you have the fewer problems you have with behavior and odor also. I used to keep 1,3 rats in a 20" X 26" X 8" motar tubs. That worked much better than the sterilite tubs I started with. Since I only had 3 or 4 tubs going at a time, I just stacked them on top of each other. The easiest rack is the one you don't build. Unless of course you have a lot of animals, in which case the rack system is far superior.

Good luck and let us know how things work out.
