junie Jan 03, 2004 06:53 PM

We found a hole bunch of "grub worms" in the yard, and I was wandering if it would be okey to feed them to LEO's? And does grub worms kind of remind me of Silk worms.. "big and fat".

Thanks,

if you fertilize or use pesticide in your lawn the bugs will probably be bad, but I think thats common knowledge. Anyway, i wouldnt try it with anything i own, cause most grubs eat grass or their roots, and a lot of grass seeds are treated with chemicals before being sold.

You don’t know where they have been or what they’ve been into. Just stick with CB insects. It’s safer for your animal.

No, I'd say. It's too risky... They could be ridden with fertilizer/pesticides/other chemicals that could do serious damage if ingested. I don't know what their chitin value is, either. It's like flipping a coin, you're going to take your chances.
