Are they captive hatched or W/C?
They really seem like a cross between and snapper and a mud turtle.

the two adults are wc.i don't know but assume that the little one is wc as well.they seem "smarter?"than other kinoserids i've had.the adults will even let me hand feed them.

They do seem to interact more with the keeper. But then my captive raised (even wild caught) muds are about as responsive as turtles can be.
The female redcheek that I am now raising just about does the backstroke when she sees me.

Hey... I can handfeed my Staurotypus too... but I'm running out of hands!

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?
