Good News Today my father picked me up some crickets from the pet store on his way home from work. And she went crazy for them eating everyone she saw i only let her eat maybe 10-15 because i only have 30 and i want them to last till i can get more is that alright and how many could she eat at a time?
And then i make sure she sits on her basking spot for an hour after she eats

She is 7 1/2 inches long

Pics soon

Thanks Lee

This isn't really the answer your looking for, but most growing dragons can eat LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of crickets. Most people will tell you to let them eat as many as then can in 5-10 mins. Most people end up stopping them after 15 or so cuz it seems like they're going to explode. Most dragons will go through anywhere (depending on size of dragon and size of crickets) between 10-50 (probably even 100) in a single 'sitting' (or chasing rather). When that happens you'll be much better off buying crickets online. You can usually get 500-1000 for the same price as 200 at a pet store. It'll be worth it when your dragon can go through the entire 500 in two weeks.

buy them online by the 1,000 for around $10-12 shipped. Then let your dragon eat as many crickets as it wants. You'll be surprised at how much they eat and how fast they grow if it's your 1st dragon.

Alright I was thinking about doing that but what size do I want? And where are some of the places you get your crickets?
And was I doing the right thing by making sure she basked for an hour after she ate?

Im Going to Try and Take Some Pictures Today

Thanks Lee

I order mine from
http://www.superwormfarm.com/
another one is
http://www.reptilefood.com

For a 7.5" dragon, you'll probably want to go with the 3/8"-1/2" size crickets. You'll want to set up a large rubbermaid tub to keep them in. The crickets will need a water source and can be fed fruit, veggies, greens, moist bearded dragon pellets, etc.

I usually freeze about 1/3 of my crickets (after they've eaten and are full of nutrients). Then I thaw those out and put them on my dragons' dish of greens.

It appears the ugly duckling turned in to a very beautiful swan...
(actually, I haven't really seen an ugly dragon yet)
